About Functional Extremities

Built From Practice. Created With Purpose.

Treating the spine while ignoring the extremities leaves part of the picture unresolved. FEA and the FE Method make extremity care systematic.

The Clinician Behind FE

Meet Dr. Kyle Bryant.

Dr. Kyle Bryant, DC, CCEP, has 15+ years in clinical practice. He built a repeatable process for assessing function, finding weak links, treating with purpose and reassessing. He teaches clinician to clinician.

  • 15+ Years in Practice
  • Certified Chiropractic Extremities Practitioner (CCEP)
  • Founder, Functional Extremities
  • Developer of FEA and the FE Method
  • Owner, Integrative Chiropractic & Extremities (ICE Clinics), Kennewick, WA

“I'm constantly learning new stuff every single day.”

The Mission

Beyond the Spine. Beyond the Symptoms. Understand Function.

The spine provides the clinical foundation. Functional extremity assessment provides the distinction.

“Better clinical reasoning creates better clinicians.”

In Practice

Clinician to Clinician.

Hands-on, practical, and honest about what a finding does and doesn't tell you. Every section of the FE Method is built around the same question: what does this patient need next?

  • Assess function, not just pain
  • Find the weak link in the chain
  • Treat with purpose and reassess

Program Paths

Two Programs. One Functional Philosophy.

FEA teaches how to assess function. The FE Method teaches chiropractors how to act on those findings.

About Functional Extremities

Built From Practice. Created With Purpose.

Functional Extremities was created from a clinical realization: when the examination stays on the symptomatic region, or on the spine alone, relevant functional contributors elsewhere in the musculoskeletal system may remain unrecognized.

Developed through chiropractic practice. Applicable across musculoskeletal disciplines.

Today Functional Extremities is professional clinical education built around one idea: an additional functional lens for evaluating the entire musculoskeletal system.

Founder & Developer

Dr. Kyle Bryant, DC, CCEP

Dr. Kyle Bryant founded Functional Extremities and developed its approach through extensive clinical experience integrating spinal and extremity assessment into patient care.

His first year in practice was humbling. After an adjustment, he couldn’t always tell whether it had made a difference. That led to testing before and after every correction, so the doctor and the patient both get immediate, objective feedback. Over time, that process became a systematic way to examine regional relationships across the musculoskeletal system, taught in two parts: a repeatable assessment framework, which became FEA, and a structured process for clinical application and reassessment, which became the FE Method.

“This system was built because I personally experienced the challenges of early practice building with a lack of confidence and direction in my treatment approach. I’d love for docs to experience and grow through the FE Method™ in the same way it has defined and paved the way for my success in practice.”

The Mission

A Clinical Lens Upgrade.

Function, not symptom location alone, should help guide clinical examination and treatment decisions. Functional Extremities helps practitioners look beyond the symptomatic region, investigate overlooked contributors and recognize compensatory patterns, within the examination they already use.

The approach is built around repeatable assessment, appropriate intervention and reassessment, taught clinician to clinician. The goal is not simply to treat more joints. It is to evaluate the musculoskeletal system more completely.

The Programs

Two Educational Applications.

FEA teaches the assessment framework. The FE Method teaches the clinical application.

FEA

Assess Function. Connect the Findings.

A systematic, repeatable framework for identifying and interpreting potential functional deficiencies, for chiropractors, physical therapists, osteopathic practitioners and other qualified musculoskeletal professionals.

The FE Method

Assess Function. Treat With Purpose.

The functional assessment framework in clinical application: intervention, reassessment and troubleshooting. Developed primarily for chiropractors.
